This is a PEP TALK! I'm coming at you with everything I've got, because you need to hear this. You've been complaining and making excuses about your situation long enough. It's time to make a CHANGE.............
A lot of us often talk ourselves out of attempting to do something different, and new, and extraordinary, or better still, what we really love. When it comes to change, we have a list of excuses that we use to keep us bound in the same old, same old.
I'M NOT SMART ENOUGH
OR STRONG ENOUGH,
WHAT IF IT DOESN'T WORK?
IT'S JUST NOT FOR ME
IT'S ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE
NO ONE IS GOING TO HELP ME
I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY OR RESOURCES
TO GET IT DONE.
I'M ALL ALONE..
These are just a few of the EXCUSE lines that I hear people use to get themselves out of taking responsibility for not trying. To be honest with you, I have also been guilty of doing this at one time or another....... So I am going to share my story of how I overcame this habit and is still constantly overcoming fear in different areas of my life.
I believe that my story will inspire and motivate you to finally take on that challenge that you've putting off for so long..............
I started my blogging journey a little over a year ago. Prior to that, I had been putting the idea off for almost a year. Thinking about the what ifs became such a struggle for me that I talked myself out of doing anything exciting As a result, my life became extremely boring and uneventful.
You see, the problem wasn't that we were a one income family and couldn't afford added expenses to our already flooded budget, or that we didn't have the resources to create and maintain a successful website. It wasn't even that no one in our city had ever done this before.
I..... became my biggest problem by making excuses for what I didn't have, or who wasn't on my side, and blah, blah, blah. My excuses became a crutch and held me back from becoming all that I was meant to be. You know how the story goes. I was going through the motions time and time again, until, I finally decided to make a change.
That's the problem with many of us. We often let our fears dictate our actions, and by doing so, we enslave ourselves with passivity and ineffectiveness...............

That's not to say that your concerns aren't valid... I will be transparent enough to tell you that the first year of my blogging career was the toughest by far. I basically started from the bottom, and have been working my way up ever since. From learning the ropes of blogging, to advertising and affiliate marketing, SEO, and email marketing.......I was literally way out of my comfort zone. Blogging was out of my league.
And the worst part, was that I didn't get quite the response that I hoped for. I had very few supporters and most people didn't take me seriously, but I didn't let that stop me, and so shouldn't you.
You need to understand, that roadblocks, and opposition are all part of the process to achieving your dreams. If you never had to go through challenges in life, how would you ever discover how great, and strong, and capable you really are?
I seriously count every trial and challenge that I have been through as a blessing because they have shown me that I have what it takes to succeed. Be it in blogging, parenting, writing or singing; the challenges that I went through made me stronger and more determined to face my fears and overcome them.
So what if I'm the only lifestyle and fashion blogger in my city? The fact that I made an attempt to do something that no one has ever done before in my town simply proves that I'm a game changer because I am willing to do what no one else wants to do.
And the same goes for you. You have no idea of how many amazing things you could accomplish if you just decided to ditch the excuses and do what you've meaning to do all along. Your capabilities are limitless. That is why I am pushing you to just DO IT already, and save yourself the regret of not trying.............

I'm urging you to finally take the plunge by becoming the first college graduate in your family, or the first author in your city, or the first artist in your community, whatever it may be, just do it. Go back to college, get a second job if that is what it will take for you accomplish your dreams, take night classes if need be, start your blog, write your book, record that album, lose the weight, try that new recipe, go skydiving. JUST DO IT........
I believe in you and more importantly, GOD believes in you too. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, and that is not just a cliché.
Well, I think I'm going to end this post right here. I hope that what I shared with you is valuable enough for you to start making some changes. I would like to read your comments or questions, so please leave them down below.........
Until next time...........XOXO
